121 Tutor - Gateshead

We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Tutor's to join our team in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear. As a 121 Tutor, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized academic support to students in Maths and English up to GCSE level. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who enjoys working closely with students to help them achieve their full potential.

THE ROLE

• Delivering high-quality one-to-one tuition sessions in Maths and English, tailored to meet the individual needs of each student.
• Creating engaging and effective lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and exam board requirements.
• Assessing students' strengths and areas for improvement, and providing constructive feedback to promote continuous progress.
• Monitoring student progress and adapting teaching methods accordingly.
• Ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment during sessions held in students' homes or local libraries.
• Maintaining accurate records of tuition sessions, including attendance and student performance.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or HLTA certification is essential.
• Strong subject knowledge and expertise in delivering Maths and English up to GCSE level.
• Previous experience in one-to-one tutoring or small group teaching is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and their families.
• Flexibility to work either 5 days or 3 days per week, based on availability.
• Availability to deliver between 4-6 hours of tuition per day.
• Familiarity with the national curriculum and GCSE exam board requirements.
• Passionate about education and committed to supporting students' academic growth.

Note: All tuition sessions will be conducted within the local authority of Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, with two thirds of students requiring tuition within their residential homes.
