Secondary Teacher (SEMH)

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Full-time, Rolling contract (potential for temp to perm)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced secondary Teacher to join a thriving SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Provision in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education across different subjects to students with diverse needs in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• Plan and implement activities that inspire and motivate our young learners
• Work effectively with a diverse range of students across all key stages
• Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Excellent knowledge of the current curriculum across all key stages
• Experience in working with learners with complex needs (advantageous)
• Strong behavior management skills in an SEMH setting (preferred)
• Passion for helping students achieve their full potential
